“As wood is to the carpenter, bronze to the sculptor, so our own lives are the proper material in the craft of living.” - Epictetus
Hi, I am Ante Jeroncic, and on this site, the Craft of Living, I explore, through different avenues, the overlapping spaces where practical philosophy, wisdom traditions, spirituality, and self-development literature meet on the question of flourishing life. (For more on the craft of living as I understand it, click here.)
More than a theoretical exercise, I see this endeavor as a personal quest, haltingly as it might be, to “live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life” (Thoreau).
Thank you for visiting this page! I deeply appreciate it and trust that you will find some of the material personally enriching.
PS: The home page photo was taken in 2019 at the Oxford Divinity School. It captures a defining moment in my life.
