Hi all,

My scholarship and teaching focus on contemporary issues in theological and philosophical anthropology, moral psychology, hermeneutics, power and violence, and the relationship of ethics and epistemology. As a part of that, I interact with and borrow borrow from a variety of theoretical frameworks, including existential phenomenology and practical philosophy in dialogue with biblical theology. Most basically, I am interested in how humans as moral agents understand and inhabit different versions of the good life. Put spiritually, I seek to understand the many layers of meaning entailed in Jesus’s promise about the fullness of life offered to a broken humanity (John 10:10).
